A Home 2019
In his book A Home 1899 Carl Larsson depicts ”Little Hyttnäs”, the home that he shared with his wife Karin.
A colourful home filled with ornate plants and lots of children. The idyllic imagery has
inspired and angered over the past century. The pictures makes us think of contemporary housing ads, in which, as in Larsson’s work, the images of the home environment symbolise, control, success and happiness.
So, since I also want a happy home I decided to create my own ”Little Hyttnäs”. With
cardboard and textiles, I started working on ”A Home 2019”.
